Ok, I am doing a test weekend to prove that I can run a weekend, here are the screen shots for the practice session.

Welcome to the practice session for F1 2007 at Melbourne.

First Activity

Webber heads out on to the track

Here comes Albers

Next out is Button

Following him is Massa

Behind him we have Hamilton

Closely following him is Heidfeld

Webber is the first one to cross the line to start his flying lap

Hamilton makes a daring move as he starts his flying lap

Webber sets the first intermediate time

Webber sets the second intermediate time

Webber sets pole position as others have yet to cross the line

Trulli is nearly a second off at the second intermediate

Sutil is next to cross the line and takes 2nd

Button can't beat Webber or Sutil and gets 3rd

Hamilton immediately gets 3rd off Button

Massa gets 7th

Heidfeld takes 1st from Webber

Kubica gets 3rd, great lap.

Albers takes 8th, quite a way off the pace

Raikkonen takes 1st from Heidfeld by nearly 2 seconds

Speed gets 11th place 5 seconds off the pace

Trulli behind Speed takes 6th, 3.5 seconds off the pace

Liuzzi gets 13th, 5 seconds off the pace

Coulthard takes 12th, he is just about the same pace as Liuzzi

Great lap from Davidson gets him 8th!

Alonso takes second, the closest to Raikkonen yet

Fisichella drives himself to 5th

Kovalinen, not as quick as his team mate gets 9th

Bad lap from Barrichello gets him 15th

Schumacher with an ok lap takes 10th

Rosberg immediately takes that 10th away from Schumacher

Wurz takes 14th, slower than his younger team mate

Liuzzi on his second run, is way off the pace at sector 1

Sato on his second run is not far off at the second intermediate

Liuzzi must have problems, he is 13 seconds off

Liuzzi is in the gravel trap

Doesn't look like he is heading for the track

He pulls off with a loose wheel

Liuzzi is first out of the pits for his second run

The top 8 so far, Raikkonen has a comfortable gap over Alonso

Liuzzi starts his third flying lap

Liuzzi with a better sector 1

However, on Davidson's second run he is quicker than Liuzzi at the first intermediate

Liuzzi gets 22nd with that time, great disappointment

Not even Raikkonen can beat his own time

Coulthard wildly off the pace there

Webber does not improve his time

Liuzzi improves by getting 19th

Heidfeld with a brilliant lap to get 2nd

Massa not having a good day with 13th place

Kubica unable to improve

Hamilton improves and gets 4th from Webber

Sutil moves up to 16th

Speed low down is 5 seconds off the pace

Kovalinen up to 9th place

Barrichello improves to 17th

Sato unable to improve

Albers unable to improve

Davidson moves up to 12th

Trulli with an 8th place lap

Wurz holds up Alonso and Raikkonen

Wurz does not improve

Alonso unable to improve because of Wurz

Same for Raikkonen

Webber does not improve

Coulthard a whole 6.25 seconds off the pace

Kubica gets 7th

Schumacher does not improve

Kovalinen gets 9th

Barrichello gets 17th again

Albers with 19th

Trulli does not improve

Alonso reclaims 2nd spot

That the session over

that is unfortunately a rather important part of running a weekend ;)

but unless you can do videos then this whole league is a step backwards tbh.

graphics arent the bext but youve put loads of effort in - not convinced yet though

Sorry about the graphics everyone :( :( :(

As I am only a laptop, I am looking for a decent second hand desktop right now so bare with me, maybe by the time that this league MIGHT get under way I may have one ;)

Do you want me to post the rest of the weekend or not?

Erm, I wouldn't bother, we can see what you can do and what its like. My main suggestion is, unless you can get that elusive new pc, I wouldn't bother to start this league.

I've advised Matt by pm that this will not get off the ground until end of S3, there is far too much to work out in the meantime.
I've already stated that it is a known fact that the forum cannot support another standalone series so that's not going to happen in any way, shape or form. The WGP-W300 holds the rights to run series in this forum.
It's possible, note the use of the word possible, that WGP-W300 could support a test series using the current teams and the remaining test drivers, plus adding new recruits, if, and it's a big if, they can be found. We are a good way off knowing if it could be viable and will get enough support. To start garnering names now is premature. I understand Matt's enthusiasm for it, I'm sure we all do but we are not ready to move on another series until we work out the fine-print.
In other words, it is not going to happen today, tomorrow or next week, or even next month. An S4 start-up for a possible test series is a satisfactory lead-in time for us to sort out any problems, and we all know there can be a lot of them as past experience has shown us. :-)
If we run with it, it will work with an identical format to the WGP-W300. Existing teams in either series that have test drivers will get first preference to join. All drivers and teams will earn performance points, this is valuable for the test drivers as they will be allowed to transfer into the main series taking there test perf with them.
Any vacancies left in the test series after current teams have joined can be filled by new teams and drivers, if there is any interest, and it is too early to gauge that now.
New teams in the test series cannot transfer testers into the main series unless they hold a team in the main series. There would be a seniority rule for the new teams to enter the main series. The new teams would take their perf points with them. Team owners in the main series can trade drivers from the test series into the main series as well as import their own test drivers as they do now.
Current team-owners, if they now own one or two teams, can run a second team in the test series and have four drivers. Multiple team owners would have three teams and six drivers. Teams would be allowed to use a special test livery if they desired or they can just use their existing livery.
That's a pretty basic work-out for how it could be done.
That's it from pit-lane for the time being.

Plus I have new comers to join, paul said he want people to race for him.

Also, on the graphics side of things my bro will let me use his 2.2 ghz pc compared to my 1.7ghz. it runs the 07 mod like a charm and i shall be giving him a graphics card so i will post some screenies when i can.

Mews is a driver for Falcon Racing.

GP3 Season 5: 14) Nathan Turner. 15) Tobias Kederer.

Proper list ;) :

Solari, Raül M. Gullon + Redmer Postma
Senninha, John Warrington + Adam Merway
Team Shadow Subaru, Rick Groeneboer + Andy Jewitt + Jo Pellatt
Keels Racing, Jithendra Shenoy + driver needed
Team Griedanus Porsche, Ross Cartwright + Matthijs Pluister
Scuderie Minardi, Alessio Rosa + driver needed
Spirit Subaru, Liam Foottit + Adam Footitt
KBR Ferrari, Somogyi Zsigmond + Fabio Raffaelli
Italian Thunder, Tim van Dijck + Alex Sanford + Kelly Vermeulen
Devil Fox Maserati, Monil Santilal + Florian Gramsch

So that's only two drivers missing if every team wants to enter and if none of these drivers will be thrown out of the series (which I both doubt will happen tbh).
Thanks Nick :-) and one team required.

Proper list v2.0:

Solari, Raül M. Gullon + Redmer Postma
Senninha, John Warrington + Adam Merway
Team Shadow Subaru, Rick Groeneboer + Andy Jewitt + Jo Pellatt
Keels Racing, Jithendra Shenoy + driver needed
Team Griedanus Porsche, Ross Cartwright + Matthijs Pluister

Spirit Subaru, Liam Foottit + Adam Footitt
KBR Ferrari, Somogyi Zsigmond + Fabio Raffaelli
Italian Thunder, Tim van Dijck + Alex Sanford + Kelly Vermeulen
Devil Fox Maserati, Monil Santilal + Florian Gramsch
Team needed, driver needed + driver needed

So that will be four drivers missing then.
Replace Kelly with Tim @ Italian Thunder.
Kelly if more important as Tim for me.

And i sure as hell am not entering my team into this series, i have not time to paint yet another livery and find it hard enough managing the drivers I have without having even more sessions to follow. you can't just expect team managers to enter another team simply because they have test drivers. You'll also notice that many teams have more than two drivers so technically under your ideas some of my test drivers would either have to be dropped or move to other teams, that is of course assuming that absolutely no test drivers get promoted to the current series or decide not to renew their contracts for next season.

Get your think ing caps back on guys - this series cant work like that
