GP4: is it still a game or a window to our jobs?

Still play regularly, though 60% of my time is spent perfecting setups and turning quicker lap times. Currently have a championship going on, though I always enjoy running single race weekends more.

Initial loading time doesn't turn me off, but as Erix said having to reload the sim when you make setup changes is VERY annoying to me.

High rez tracks are what slows my load times down the most, so I avoid all the super high rez track updates and keep my other settings on medium levels for the most part so the game doesn't bog down with a full grid...

I do spend more time editing and fidling with things more than playing, but I do sometimes spend some hours playing some great racing

I suggest to try this graphic file, the loading time on my pc is less then 8 seconds on older system i am sure it will be under 30 seconds !!! Trying can't hurt :-)

Well its a sim. Imagine if you had to make those changes on a real grand prix car, it would take anywhere from 5-15 minutes. Consider it a realism bonus...

If thats a realism bonus, I would prefer to do without it! :(

Seriously, I like how GTR2 does it, allowing you to switch from cockpit to garage to tweak your setup and then once back to cockpit you simply leave the pits and drive back onto the track. No extra loading time required...
