I wonder why the hell so many tracks I see here have this awfull track tarmac with these lenghtways stripes 
...if you want I can upload a much better texture...it has a similar colour as in Rob's Sepang shot. For other tracks the colour can be really easily and quickly darkened or brightened with any painting software.
Or just extract it from some of the newer hi-res tracks I have worked on...it's the tarmacmap.tex in the resorces folder of the track wad and you can take it from A1-Ring hi-res for example, or Indy 2006, Hungaroring 2006, Imola 2006, Uqbar 2007 and some other tracks.
