we need to rember this about the gp series

geoff crammond said that there will be 5 versions of the gp series, and therefore to let him and his publishers/backers make money, they will need to leave some major features from gp4.

these features will be saved for gp5, which in geoffs words will be the "definitive F1 simualtor"

if they were to include every possible thing in gp4, why would anyone bother to buy gp5? we could download the season graphical updates from ralph hummerich, and then you have the gpxpatch option as well.


somethings gonna be omitted and the first thing looks like internet play.

my predictions for the features left out in gp4 are the safety car & formation lap.


we'll get the new 3 engine and improved physics, and a few other graphical features like the podium i think.



but somewhere along the line we'll be feeling shafted again, but we'll buy gp4 to support the R&D for geoff crammonds gp5.

and who knows, once his contract has run out and he gets a new one from a different publisher, we could see gp6

When did geoff say there would be only 5 LS? was that at the very start before GP1 or bit later?

so that probably means that the 3d background will be left out for gp5..

it was when he was making gp3, there was a big interview with him in pcgamer.


they asked him if he liked what people had done with gp2, new graphics, steering wheels etc. and he said he hated it, and felt that people had violated his game.

Well really its breaking copyright laws isnt it. If anyone decides to sell there work then isnt it illegal. Its a very fine line people are treading when they make add-ons and mods.
