i hope that work has'nt stopped on the graphics for gp4, coz at the moment EA 2001 beats what we've seen graphically up to yet

Well, even the shape of that Jaguar is damn near perfect - however, you've got to remember that it's a pic of a heavily modified F1 2001 - sure, the graphics are extremely good, and I don't know why Geoff C doesn't go along that sort of route, but as long as Gp4 has a good graphics engine, and maintains its uncannily realistic physics engine, then it will always kick EA Sports' ass! And anyway, just the fact that Gp4 comes with unique car shapes gives scope for massive improvement - assuming it will be possible to edit the game.

I'm predicting that Grand Prix 4 will be one of PC GAMER's highest scoring games ever. They said that if the original Gp3 had included everything that the add-on had, it would have acheived that kind of success, so there's no reason why Gp4 shouldn't be crowned one of the best games ever - it doesn't exactly seem unlikely does it? Now that's a nice thought!

I agree that the gfx for F12001 looks better in THAT pic... but here's my story! I bought F12001 for my PC... I have a 1.7GHz cpu, 32Mb GeForce2... and the game was appauling! It just wouldn't run properly! OK, fair enough, my gfx card could be better! (gettin new one!) GP3 runs smoothly as you like! Full whack! But F12001 didn't! The controls were unresponsive, the fps was crap! Now, maybe it was something I did, but I took that game back and exchanged it for the ps2 version. (great game btw)

My point is that they say GP4 will run better than GP3 despite the huge detail & gfx improvement... if this is the case, then maybe EA should take a look at this game!

well in f12001 the car looks like it is in the tarmac itself and in gp4 the car looks like is right above the tarmac
ah!!!!! now I think gp4 have better graphics than f12001 (original graphics)
and look at the track details ... no comparison possible ....

-you're right, beardless! You cannot compare the picture from LS from the jag (F1 2001) with the screenies in GP4!! Becouse on that pic the carliveries from Ralph Hummerich are used! And as everyone knows the liveries from RH are much more detailed and smoother. Wait till we see the ne new carliveries for by RH!!

-second reason: the screenie from GP4 is in a much lower resolution!!! Don't worry guys, GP4 will defenitly better than F1 2001

Also, the pics from F1 2001 don't have the shade of the car. This is why we see the GP4 shots look like the car is sitting on top of the track.

Also, GP4 seems to use a better lighting engine.

And you are all of course assuming that Geoff hasnt taken graphics into account this time? Dont you think Geoff has seen the work that people over the net do? He wouldnt have seen all of it but i bet someone has should him Ralphs car sets! If the orgional had livires like that then there wouldnt be a need to edit them as much would there!? Dont you think that Geoff is finally gona learn and make better detailed cars? GP3 2000s set was beeter than GP3s! There no reason why GP4 shouldnt have great car livires!

Ok, theres not a huge difference but there is a clear improvement there! Ever looked at the GP2 car? Ok, its only 256 colours but they were worse than GP3!! They are improving, and since GP4 looks to be a big step over GP3 why cant the liveries improve too?
