steering wheel & dash board problem

i downloaded 1991 MOD and extracted cars.wad from it, so that i can run it on my computer (which isn't great), but there are few problems. the picture is worth 1000 words so here it is;



do you see that "car/best/runners" words written over my steering wheel? how can i remove that? i don't want that to be written there. also, my dash board completely suck, what can i do to make it look like in real 1991 MOD?

That's what happens when you extract files out of a complete mod...
The best thing you can do is load the mod with CSM with "Quickstart" unchecked. Once GPxPatch appears you make a copy of the cars.wad. Now close GPxPatch and let CSM restore. Now when you start gp4 and you use the 1991 cars.wad you will find most data on it's right place.
