My new pc config

Hi guys. I recently bought a new pc, might be not the best, but It's by far better than what i had.

My new pc specs are intel dual core 1.8 ghz proccesor, intel 945 main board, 1 gh of ram. No video accelerator card (yet)

So I installed GP4, but I thought it was going to be better, i have to play with 18 fps and still the po is still high, and it's still pretty much the original game, with 2001 cars and tracks. WHat can I do so I can play it normally?

Just one more thing: Can anyone tell me if Fuji is already done or what, cause I've been looking for it, but no lick yet.

Thanxs!

You really need a good video card.

Fuji Speedway by Nixblicker was available at www.thegrandprix4world.co.nr, and Mariano made very good .dat file (marianodicarlo.googlepages.com).

Yeah, good video card is what you need. All that is almoust useless withaout good video card.

P.S. I have very old PC (but balanced when I buy it) and I can run almoust all mods at high settings (GP2 2005 is one of hardest mods for my PC)

have a look on tomshardware.com for graphics card comparison.
I recomend ATI 1950XT (I think thats it, ask gav) or if you can afford it the nvidia 8800GT is great.

have you buy a better card yet, and did it work out?
I have a 2.8 dual core and its not faster then my old 1.4 p4 with gp4.
And the old one was even better with when I use win -98

I would realy like to know if that work with a better graphic card
on a dual core that is not that "fast". It seems to use just one core with gp4.
My pc come with a 7300LE card and I know thats not the best card.

No, Is that possible to use both core with the gpxpatch
and get it up to speed that way?
Then I will put some money on a better graphic card.
Second option is to by an "old" 3.0 p4 PC to use the game.
I know that work just fine with a fps at around 45 ...

if ur try to play with both core in GPxpatch ,game will keep CTD. u have to select 0 or 1 in order to play without crashs. and for gp4 with dual core one core is more than enough and GP4 is not optimised to play with dual core. for GP4 all matters is GHZ speed and RAM and ofcourse other 50% is high power video card.

this is a game related to both video and processor equally not alone

EDIT: old PC p4 is not even equal to 1.8 ghz(E6300) core 2 duo processor. so don't bother about old p4 pc.

Ok, so it should work then?
My config is a Dell 9150, 2.8 Intell pentium dual core, 7300LE card, XP home.
About ghz, dos it use those 2.8 ghz with one core at GP4??
When I try to run GP4, I get the same slow speed as with my old p4 1.4 using XP
Using win98 with that old one it worked better!?!
Are you run the game with XP or win 98?

I was thinking of to buy a geforse 8800GT card
but I just want to know if that will do the trick ;-)

it will work only if u change ur video card. sorry to say ur video card is not even considered low-end video card. it's just for getting display with mobo having no on-board video.

about GHZ, yes it will use 2.8GHZ even if u use one core, actually XP counts dual core as example, 2X 2.8GHZ core's see in device manager under processor there u can see two 2.8GHZ processor's. Logically it consider's two 2.8GHZ processor's but physical it's one only.

intel dual core processor's are worst in intel series ,only core 2 duo series dual core's are wonderful and excellent performer's.

ur getting slow speed b'coz of ur poor video card not be'coz of processor.

8800GT card is way better than ur current card and it rocks GP4.
