Champcar 2007 Helmetset by TakkU WIP Thread

As i've said in the other helmet set topic, i am going to make a 2007 helmet set. Currently, i am working on the helmet of Robert Doornbos, wich is almost finished. WIPs will be added soon!

If someone has some good pictures of the 2007 CC driver helmets, please post/send them!

Yezz, Bobby Doorknobs' helmet!!!

Here is the first preview:



It's the new Doornbos helmet, and as you can see it is still WIP. What's left to do is finishing of the top of the helmet, changing the blue color to a darker and more 'noiseier' color. The top is pretty difficult, but i'll figure it out ^^

is that set also for GP4? because I heared you were working on a 2007 Champcar mod for rFactor

Since the helmets that are going to be used have almost got the same mapping as GP4, it is also for Gp4!!

Excellent work! are you going to release them as you finish each one, or will we have to wait ages for you to release the entire set?

i think it's better to wait for the complete set

I am going to release it in phases, so every helmet gets released when it is done. In the final set all the variations will be included from all drivers!

Hey TakkU! Is there any progress with your helmets? When are you going to release that cool doornbos helmet??

Sorry that i haven't that active lately, but i am kind of busy working and wth school, but i can tell you that the Doornbos helmet is close to finish/release!!! I think i can finish it off this weekend, so you can expect a release this weekend or next week, watch this thread for news!

Great news takku, there's no rush, just take your time and have fun making the helmets. I am really excited for these helmets,because they have never been done before. good luck!
