1998 Mod - Release - Steering Wheels Preview

One years later... And Duffer didn't do anything. I'm waiting for the F1 1998 mod, but this lost in the deep bottom of his computer...

I have to contact him for a few mods I couldn't copy from RealGPx to GPGames so I will also tell him about this mod.
Not sure he will have much time and much access to his computer quickly but who knows (BTW he is in holidays this week).

It's quite a large bump, but has anything happened with regard to Duffer releasing the cars in their current state? It would be a huge shame if his work went to waste

My Grand Prix 4 Files
I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?

I did a 1998 "lite" mod based on what I found here on grandprixgames in this discussion: GP4 1998 MOD
I want to know who exactly are the authors to ask him if I can post it.
I think the cars are converted from F1 Challenge, and the helmets I made them in HQ based on those of various authors.
Obviously I hope Duffer will soon get cars in HQ and if parts of my mod are useful I would like to contribute to the realization of his mod!

Well, it certainly aren't Duffer's cars. That's also what he says in the first sentence, should roughly translate to "While we wait for the release of Duffer's mod, I present to you a small '98 mod".

And as far as I can remember jayjay's mod contained the leeched CTDP cars.

Mitsuro Sano has created a perfect MP4-13 soundset which would go beautifully with it. [www.youtube.com]

I would be delighted to put it all together for a non CSM mod, working on tweaker positions, performances, physics etc.
It's such a shame that this work of art hasn't seen the light of day yet.
I've been looking forward to driving the A19 for ten and a half years now!

It sounds so much like the Assetto Corsa version of the MP4/13!

I figured I would bump this as it's been 10 years, 10 months and 20 days, or 3977 days since the first post.

Please Duffer, could you release what you have done so far? There are more than enough able and willing people in the community to be able to polish up any loose unfinished ends there are.

Well, at this time i haven't got a lot of time to work on it (I have some trouble in my personnal life since 2 - 3 years). But i promise to release it one day, so today i have re-install Grand Prix 4. All car who you see in the picture under are functionnal. The only thing they don't have is the damage model. I need some tweak on tyres, rims (I just have to remember how I should do). And as you see the Mclaren and Prost are missing. I need to work on them.

All of this pics are take today.

Your work is pretty amazing and hope that I can play this beautiful mod one day
