Street circuits have alot more unique things than a normal track, so there is a lot more to be built. Every single building on Valencia's streets for instance is probably unique, so its not like grabbing a standardish marshal's hut, or bridge. And cities tend to be more detailed than country side - rubbish bins, power poles, buildings,...

At a rough guess I'd say it would take me about 5 times longer to do a street circuit...so 5 about years :p

Even the kerbs are individual at street circuits. I need 3 days for creating realistic kerbs.
That's exactly what Tony says: Quality work requires a lot of time and patience.

@communty:
As said in a nother thread. my provisional deadline for finishing the track is the 5th of July because after that I am not at home for more than three weeks. But to be honest the chances are 50:50...there is still so much to do.

You don't need to ask about progress. I will post news on 5th of July at the latest - maybe earlier when there is something to show...but at the moment not.

@Bernard:
Thanks mate :) I appreciate your work on the bulls, too :)

Physical part of the track is done.
Willb is working on new hi-res adverts.
Progress was not so good the last time because I have been extremely busy with personal life.

Btw, I recereated all track objects (bakns, verges, lines, kerbs) because I used the hd feature...the parts aren't so cornered anymore but very round.

I am leaving home for a one week workshop today and after that I am on holday for two weeks. So I'll turn back to track editing at the very end of July.

Unfortunately you have to be patient...but it will be worth the wait because thh track will get a nice facelift :)

Regards
Martin

I know this might be a right cheeky comment, so I am gonna apoligise in advance, but would it be cool though if the track makers did a very basic layout, ie, main layout, where the pits are, the stands, the odd building and so on, then your not going to get the same amount of "is it realeased yet, is it realeased yet, whens it gonna be realeased, when WHEN WHEEEN!!??"

Just a suggestion. I'm not too bothered really, cause I can easily wait. I know that my 2008 season of F1 is not going to be realistic, but perhaps its something to consider. Cause then as a community, we can all try and help along. Users can start creating individual building perhaps.

Progress is really slow at the moment...I am extremely busy with personal life. I try to work on GP4 tracks but it is quite difficult. In three months I will have more time, until then progress will be slow.

Did anyone ever finish an updated version of Monaco?
