Its not your system that affects it, many users have similar / even better systems and its still improssible.

My motherboard has Gigabit lan though . I cant wait till 100 meg broadbad!

Well, you can play GP4 through LAN, but not online. All the other Grand Prix games can be played through LAN too. Same with the crappy EA F1-XX games.

? how ? i mean 3/4 off me mates havein same game and connected threw lan on seperate pc's we could have multiplayer then

Then what you did isn't LAN. LAN is your local network. You and your friends tryed to play online, which is not possible.

you can do it using hamachi but the results arent usually terribly good and it has horrific lag. Try it if you want with your friends and tell us how it goes but probably not very well.

Trying will be a waste of time really. GP4 hasn't been designed for online play, just LAN, end of story.

Yeah but people tend to learn by doing it themselves so I thought I'd say anyway just to give him what he wants and then let him try it. It wont hurt for him to try.

In case anyone is interested, you CAN play Grand Prix Legends online against an entire grid full of cars. It's not modern F1, but it does have season specific mods for 1965, 1967, and 1969.....
