Hi, I'm trying to install GP4 on Windows Vista. I get an error that says DirectX 8 is not installed, but I have installed it on my machine. I think this may be a Vista problem rather than strictly a GP4 problem. Can anyone help me out?

Much appreciated if you can!!

I think there is info on the DX8 problem in the GP4FAQ, check the sticky topic. May not be Vista related.

I have installed and run GP4 on vista and have not had any problems at all running it.
The frame rate is about 15-20% slower than XP but no problems with install and running.

the only thing i can see you can turn off is vista sidebar and maybe force gp4.exe to run in xp mode compatibility might help.
