I own both and play both of them a lot. For me each sims has it's own good points:

GP4
+ savegame option, great for 100% races which is impossible in rFactor if you don't have three or more hours free
+ wet weather
+ AI
+ Director mode and timing
+ Pitcrew and the feeling of being there

rFactor
+ Mod's and tracks etc
+ Physics
+ Graphics
+ Support for Simconmotion
+ more rules possible (not only 2001-rules)

I'd use rFactor if I just had the courage to pay for it...

I know it'd run OK, probably on a par with GP4, but I like GP4. It's sentimental to me.

It's too early to decide. Wait until Geoff releases GP5. ;)

Seriously, why ask for opinions? If you like rFactor, buy it and enjoy. Personally, I'm staying with GP4. :)

Go to GTR or GTR2!!

I don't like RF physics at all, its abit like you're flying over the track ;-)
In GP4 you've got a better feeling, but there the brakes are totally messed up.

I think GTR is the closest when it goes about pure racing + it's technology.

I defenately go to GTR2 next year ;-)

thing with gp4 is its buggy, hard to just get install and play with no problems and editing is difficult.

id say rfactor, but if yr not sure at least wait for rfactor to get rain if it does, then go.
