please don`t just make the rgb layer greyscale and use it as the Alpha, it really doesn`t work :(

Why it doesn't work?
Because the sponsors?

In theory it does, but it`s a matter of taste i guess,i think that if it`s just a straight conversion of the RGB layer,it`s too reflective, but check out the news section over at our site early next week, i`ve made a tutorial covering painting/mapping,and Alpha layers.I`ll be uploading it hopefully on Monday, there`s also a photoshop tutorial to be uploaded too :)

Cool thanks!

Hmmm....i've heard a middle gray is good for the alpha layer.
I have also tried it with the rgb greyscale and it works fine for me.
But it is so how you have said: it`s a matter of taste. But when it is to shiny you can make a little darker or not?

yes,the general rule is that white is the most reflective, and black is non reflective so somewhere in between those :)
