I don't know whether i'm the first person to bring this up, but what are mod makers, car makers etc. going to do in 08 when Prodrive join? That's 12 teams, 1 more than the limit in GP4...

They'll use CSM mods. What they'll do is take two lower class teams, then have people make a choice as to who is Team 11 (example, Between SA and Prodrive)

You never know if a team will drop out by then but I hope some method is sorted out so more cars are allowed in the game :)

Best Regards,

Mike.

Totally agree with you, GP4 will be so much better if the source code is revealed.

I don't get it why he won't do it, like you said, the sales of the game will be increased sky high in comparison to now, so good for Geoff.

Good for the gp4 community, cos the game can be expanded to it's full limit.

Honestly i see only winners in this case.

I've a much better idea, let's send Paolo (jpmfw) as a Silician hitman to Geoff. ;)

We need it, because F1 games are in SONY hands and they are quite bad. Far from the realistic level you can get in GP4.

a) its not crammond's choice, its infogrames, and Microprose is gone, so they cant say anything
b) crammond has always disliked people modding his games
c) Infogrames are getting sales anyway, why waste effort getting the source code?

Well, I found this point quite interesting so I just sent off an e-mail to Atari (as they own infogrames back catalogue these days), so I guess we'll know for sure that it'll never happen quite soon :P

Tbh, they won't release the source code. We'd need the F1 license, which we don't have.
