Hi,
I dont know if this has been asked before, but is it possible to increase the percentage of the AI cars failures/crashes?
If so, does anyone know how to go about it. Ive looked in the files in the game but cant find anything.
PS Dont know if it makes a difference but im using the F.A.C 2006 mod.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Cheers

its possible you just edit the perfomance files.

you have something like this:

[Team #00]
Name=renault,renault
Performance=875,875,30000
First Driver=1,fernando alonso,16050,0,16050,0
Second Driver=2,giancarlo fisichella,15850,0,15750,0

that 30000 is the failure rate.

it goes from 0 to 65525 !!!!

the others are mostly for grip - the better teams should have higher numbers

however, just download marianodc's performance and this will do it for you!

i see many ai cars crash with each other as well...

Thanks for the quick reply big brother.
Just another question......That 30000 that you talked about....I take it that 0 is no failure/crashes and 65000 is more failure/crashes?
Also if i alter these values, would it apply to 100% races only or any length races?

Cheers

should be all races

65000 is more failures i think
that number is for failures only, not crashes

I use about 4000 for the best teams and 10000 for the slower cars.I use 60% races and failures happends quite often.

yep the higher the value the more failures the cars will have and its applying for all races, full, 15 laps, doesn't matter.

[Team #00]
Name=renault,renault
Performance=875,875,30000
First Driver=1,fernando alonso,16050,0,16050,0
Second Driver=2,giancarlo fisichella,15850,0,15750,0

875 stands for bhp for qualifying
second 875 stands for bhp for race

16050 stands for grip in qualifying
second 16050 stands for grip in race

that 0 means there is variation in the grip for the driver. If its set on for example 150 then the grip can be for this driver max 16200 or 15900 but when its set on zero its 16050 all time.

Thanks guys for your help. I think i may have set the failures too high. In a 39 lap race at monza only 3 finished lmao. I'll have to have a play with the values again. 1 thing i did notice though is...all of the retirements were loose wheel/suspension/engine etc but NO crashes!!!
I see in your earlier post that you mention about that. So is there anyway i can increse the crashes a little. If so how? And what would u recommend.

In an ideal world, i would like anything between 10-15 finishers in a race.

Thanks again

you cant really influence crashes - maybe turn up the damage so small incidents will have greater damage

you can do this in GP4 Tweaker

in my game there are heaps of crashes, and i haven't tried to influence them
