COuld someone please tell me the differences between 2005 and 2006 vodafone and fosters logos? I don't get it.
Imo the vodafone adverts only has a new writing and the Fosters logo did not change at all - just have to change the mapping of the banner at the Piratella.

Thanks for the comparisons, but the differences are quite small.
The new vodafone logo only has a new writing and the Fosters logo a slightly other composition and colour.
I have some complex textures with Fosters logos (pitbuilding for example) which I cannot change.
As I am slightly fed up with this project atm because it takes too long I will leave the textures as they are now. Otherwise I'd have to create 6 or 7 new ones in hi-res plus adding dirt effect to each one. As the differences are not huge you won't disturb too much.
Sorry, but I wanted to complete everything within one week and now it's been three weeks already.
I fixed a few things in the meantime and now I only have to adjust clipping distances.
Expect news soon.

Well, if you already have one then you can send it to me.
But I cannot promise that I'll include it - depends how much I have to change on the mapping.

There`s not much to change Martin, but the logo is at least accurate,if you don`t want to include the correct 06.Well, i guess that`s your choice mate.

The first post has been updated with all necessary information.

Track editing will be paused for some days because I am not at home next week.
Thereafter I will start fixing the TRD conversions by Jim (jimbob) who has not much time left for track editing - thanks for trusing in me, mate :)

TRD conversions to fix:

- Surfers Paradise
- Adelaide V8
- Oulton Park

Cheers

Really looking forward to the Surfers Paradise fix. Jimbob really did a heck of a job on that one, I think its one of the best aside from the invisible barrier issue, and that has only been a small problem....

Ruboy's WIP track thread: Surfers Paradise final version
Date: February 04, 2007 12:46AM
Posted by: Ruboy
The final version of Jim's and GP4TMG group's Surfers Paradise track is almost finished.
I have fixed a numerous problems, especially concerning the physical part.
The track has become much smoother - it is not perfect as tight corners as at Surfers Paradise are difficult to smooth but imo it is a nice improvement.
After watching some ChampCar videos from the 2006 race I also changed the graphical part at some sections: New (and high ;-) ) kerbs all over the track, modifed chicanes, modified pitlane, no walls at chicanes.
Now the track is PLUS compatible, too.

I'll probably finish this project tomorrow and send the files to Jim.

Let's go on with some screenshots:

At first I show the tribute to Laurent and his great tool called GP4Builder :)

Second chicane:

First left turn:

Third chicane:

Fourth and Fifth chicane:

First right turn:

last turn:

Take a look at the new kerbs. They have dirt effect at the appex where the
cars touch them :)

And here some publicity for 'the friendliest site on the net' ;-)

Next project will be updating and fixing Adelaide V8 (short layout)

Bye :)

Looking bloody fantastic Martin, love the dirty 3d kerbs.

Wow looks incredible, great work.
