"The 2006 Mod" by GP4Italia and Tony

Hey b-tone I have opened the cars.wad file now but how do add or reaplce the car files with the one's I have downloaded? eg. car_jaguar_car1_lod_1.gp4 that is a 2006 car but I need to replace it with the Jaguat file how do I do that because it is not letting me copy and paste it into cars.wad

i tried everything...but i just cant get the textures on the car...it keeps appearing white. I have one question. Suppose the tex file with the new car is named WilliamsMT. Do i copy into Hi folder with this name or do I change its name to something else?

name it Hi_WilliamsMT.tex and put it in the Hi folder if you use High resolution textures in the configurables menu

@dragon, just run the game and save changes on exit. an f1gstate.sav will appear.
there are better tools than gp4master

put team editor files into the data/patch folder, but they might be overruled by tweaker or other files

B-tone what are the better tools? As I said my Mod 2006 dont work so I am installing the cas manually but I dont no how to I have extracted my cars.wad with wad updater and replced the files with the 2006 cars I have downloaded but they r not working

@ b-tone ,guys from CTDP said that it would be ok to convert their 2006 works (cars etc...as long as permission is asked)for gp4 too (and of course the quality must stay very high )they prefer that converts would be made by someone who know how to do it... and would make it with that huge CTDP quality maybe you could consider to convert some of their work ,like you did with that 2005 Toyota

Tony, are you still working on that 2005-mod?

I started using GP4 only a couple of weeks ago and I'm totally in love with the 2006-mod I've been using. I just can't wait for the 2005-mod to come!

@Vesa - yeah i saw that, but i think gp4 almost has everything we need and i don't really have the time for converting the ctdp work. maybe for the future though.

@albers - yep the 2005 set will be out very soon

@ b-tone the 2006 mod does not work because when I start up CSM it says that my cars.wad is not a clean wad and CSM reqiers a clean wad

Did you make a backup for the cars.wad file? If you did, just replace the one in the main directory with the backup.

I found that the restore function doesn't work too well with that issue so far. Always make a backup
