I think you are trying to write in the grey message window. Don't! Write in the black bar underneath. Imagine MSN, you write in the bottom box and you see the messages in the bigger box.

I think you guys shouldn't do the cheating in rF, you miss out the whole fun by having to drive lower team cars

gui gives a lesson in not using cheats

Those F1 cars in rF are looking sharp, but they also look too plastic, imo the F1 cars in GP4 are looking way more realistic.
