i'm going nuts...

i am using wadupdater 3.3 to update my wad files. i opened my cars.wad and updated it as i wish. i haven't deleted any file, i only replaced the existing ones. when i repack it and run, the game crashed to desktop.
then i decided to update the wad without extracting it. i updated the wad with 2006 renault. the files seemed to be in place, but when i run the game there was neither 2006 renault carshape, nor textures.what am i doing wrong?

GP4Master sucks, especially since wadupdater does it better, and isn't half as buggy as that is.

Use wadupdater and keep Lo2k in busines... please?

i used wadupdater a lot. and i know how to use it. but i don't know why it is giving errors. i'll check gp4master and latest version of wadupdater also.

I always use GP4Master to create new cars.wad (Sorry Lo2k)

for some unknown reason if i create new cars.wad with wadupdater my GP4 crashes.

I know why... but stick with GP4Master if you want to :D

yes I use gp4master too i use wadupdater to update track.wad's

Please Floris, i want know why my game crashes. (Maybe i learn something new today)

Extract a wad in a directory called for example TTMTriesWADUPDATER

then go into your wad file and do the things you want

Then go into that TTMTriesWADUPDATER directory.. and copy the 'adress' from you adress bar.. (at least I use it in my screen also when I go into my C: )

Then start wadupdater and paste the 'link' to that directory into the upper bar. Then click 'create wad'

Should work

/EDIT: remember, when you want to save that wadfile.. after clicking 'Create wad' Do NOT change the wadname.. cause that's also causing GP4 to crash Rename it after you have created the wad

the problem isn't really wadupdater, the main thing is the tex file from the new renault, it's simply named r26 and the old renault is named r25 ,so if you update your wad with the new renault, you overwrite only the .gp4 files but no tex file. That's the reason why the car is always white

I tried wadupdater just ten minutes ago and game works fine.

wadupdater 3.4 worked for me
