HOW TO Install cars in GP4!

Guys... just answer my last couple of questions, please :D

Pawel, no DO NOT RENAME ANY TEXTURES FILES TO ANOTHER TEAM NAME. the ONLY change you can make to a tex file name is either to add hi_ to the start, or to remove hi_ from the start.

if the file is called arrows_1.tex, then change it to hi_arrows_1.tex, if it is already called hi_arrows_1.tex, then change it to arrows_1.tex.

that is the only change you should make to car tex files.

that is the problem that usually is the cause of the white cars problem.

you can rename cockpit (cp_) tex file names to make the tex files swap teams, and you can rename helmet files to swap drivers, but you must not change the name of the tex files for the car.

and for the steering wheel sticking out of the bodywork, you need to asjust the position of the wheel in either TeamEditor, or in GP4Tweaker. you will find that the helmets may also be in the wrong position when you install a new car. it's very easy to change though, you just adjust the coordinates for the wheel or helmet.

What do you do with all the .tex files though???
For example, I downloaded the Force India car and would like to put it in the original game version, where Minardi correspond to FI now, and without using CSM in any way.
I would like to know what to edit, I have looked at the guide, but it doesn't say what to do with tex files

You can make a new topic on that, header: Tex file question. It might get missed in here ok. Meanwhile have a look at WadUpdater

Need help regarding installation of the 2009 cars. Managed to open the cars.wad using easy wad but still haven't a clue about what to do, since the cars don't have the same file names as in the cars wad

Tried this and still got white cars.

hi i have just tryed to download your car install guide from the top but the web page comes up with an error any ideas why.
