Updated to 2006 Australian GP

The only way to obtain realistic perfomances and laptimes is using al the files as a pack (physics, perf & magicdata)

@ marianodc

Did you include in your first 2006 performance set a cc gear settings so that the cc cars could handle the new physics set in terms of top power to selected gear. Why don't you include in your updated sets?

The only problem I am finding with the new 2006 BHP levels is that all my existing set-ups need to be changed (gear ratios) but your performance set is very nice :)

Because, the cc setup it's included inside magicdata. I could include cc setups in cc setup format but could have wrong track order

marianodc@ just a little question, Did you tweack Gp4.exe in order to simulate correctly F1 2006 Physics? Just curious.:)

Makes sense I prefer it that way :)
Why no magic data for Bahrain? when the new beta 3 comes out will you update than?

What do you mean about "tweak GP4.exe"???
I think no

Me too prefer no magicdata, but it's impossible to obtain realistic laptimes and max speed without modify track grip in magicdata.
I didn't inlcude Bahrein magicdata because with original data I obtain ralistic results, and the track doesn't work fine for me
Also, I will include, after Imola, cc setup editor & pit & lap editor files, but in my track order

Very simple, ¿Do you know Torque Editor? Its a tool to have a proper Gp4.exe with correct TORQUE and RPMS and there is only guy in the whole planet that has that.

I sugest that you read this: A friend of mine wrote this, his nick is Tahlendorf

Power is related to Torque and Angular Velocity through this simple formula:
Power (W) = Torque (Nm) x Angular Velocity (rad/sec).

But we measure Angular Velocity in RPM so we get the Formula:
Power(W) = Torque (Nm) x Angular Velocity(RPM)x(2xPi)/60

Simplifying this down by evaluating (2xPi)/60 gives:
Power(W) = Torque(Nm)xRPM/9.549

or in it's more common form
Power(kW) = Torque(Nm)xRPM/9549 (since 1kW = 1000W)

In it's more famous Imperial form (calculated the same way with different units)
Power(hp) = Torque(lb-ft)xRPM/5252

Torque values cannot be adjusted yet, it´s somewhere embeeded in the GP4.EXE.
Default Torque values are Torque=286 for GP4.EXE 1.02 version, and 282 in GP4.EXE 1.00 version.

So I´ve reached some doubts at this point.
I try to calculate the real Torque value for an actual V8 engine that can reach 19500 RPM´s and has got 750bhp:
750bhp = Torque x 19500/5252 -> Torque=202 (lower than the 286 in the EXE)

So, with the Torque established in our GP4.exe, which is the limit of RPM´s when we get to our highest bhp value, in this case 750bhp:

750bhp = 286 x RPM/5252 -> RPM=13772

So, here is my doubt:

What happens when we reached 13722 RPM´s, with a Torque value not modified yet of 286 lb-ft, and we reached 750bhp?

Did the engine stop gaining more Power and, in the range of 13772 RPM´s to 19500 RPM´s, is getting all the time 700 bhp of Power?

Well the source of this text is my thread of F1 2006 V8 ENGINE WITH PHYSICS 2.2 VERSION.

El afortunado es Walter Rohrl es del staff de Gp4 Italia
Lamentablemente es el unico que posee el editor.

Saludos Mariano.:)

great physics file. just one thing. i done the perf file, magic file and physics file but when i play in hot seat mode, it only lets me play for 2 laps with each car. i chose, 2 turns per driver, at melbourne on full 58 lap race. i chose 5 drivers but insead of giving me about 6 laps per driver, im only able to drive for 2. must be something to do with the magic file.
