Thanks , tried some things , and i have realized that with CARS ONLY option it is enough to change from 0 to 1 the line [MIRROR VIEW] Draw horizon stripes v2 into the f1config.cfg

It should be alright if you change that line in the f1graphics.cfg but you might have to change "0 ;f1graphics.cfg controls all settings" to a 1 to make it work.
Oh and the dome will have to be called "HORIZON_CloudsNew" so that it will work

You cant make a 360 degree textrue just from a snippet of a bit of sky. Youd need the whole sky, as a parnramic image preferably.

Thanks for the links.. there could be a new texture pack released in the future thanks to sites like these.

One I really want is a stormy sky with very dark clouds but I had a search the other day and couldn't find anything to use. :(

It's really hard because once you start copying and pasting pictures together, and drawing new things it's not photorealistic anymore.

@darkmasta, did you try the nurburgring texture I think it's similar to that, dark blue sky, cloudy with the sun shining through.

@ReisF1 had any luck fixing it? Have you tried deleting the dome and trying install again? Maybe it's an imcompatibilty with the track but I think I have 2004 Montreal from Ricardo and it worked fine. Strange.

@HoldenRT: Maybe you could creat some extra skies just for rainy conditions (as the stormy sky). Of course one has to set rain chance to 80-100% but that would be cool.

Can someone send me updated .gp4-files because I have ATI card and I can't use 3D Editor very well (I mean rapidshare or yousendit link to my PM)? Keeps crashing all the time. :( Or would it be too big archive?

it depends on whos tracks and what version of them you are running, you need different .gp4s for each modified track.

lol indeed.
it's really not that hard to open trackname2001.gp4 then goto to File->Import .GP4 Object and select the correct tracks .gp4 dome and then save.
Just dont forget to put the texture and the weather.wdt in the wad too!
