How can it be?

Just upgraded the motherboard and CPU , ASUS nF3 + A64 3000+ E6 754 , but I found no big PO decrease , only by 20% around , I think that's not enough.

Then Can anyone tell me what's wrong , and as told , I really found nF3 board are bad at overclocking , but for I don't tend to change my video card Ti4200 , it seems be my only choice.

FBS:210 , AGP 70Mhz , Video Card : 280/610 , Memory , Kingmax DDR400 256 x2(DIMM 1 is 1 side , DIMM 2 is 2 sides) , 2.5-3-3-8

my previous one is .18 A XP 2000+ , GIGABYTE KT400 , no overclock , I upgrade it becuase I broke the "die" of the cpu

And if I want to upgrade my video card later , which would be a best choice?

I know that the PO in GP4 doesn't depend so much on the video card, but a TI4200 is really an old piece of ...

I would suggest you upgrade to a GeForce 7800 GTX, but that's High End and very expensive. If you don't have the money for this, i'd say, a GeForce 6800 GT would also do it. I'm NVidia-Fan, so I can't tell you anything about ATI-cards.

Also, I also think, 512MB RAM is too little, I'd upgrade to 1024MB.

well just for the record i've got 1 gig of memory right now, and im about to go to 2.

Im running a P4 Prescott (3.2 GHz),

An eVGA 6600 (256 MB DDR)

My PO is around 80-85 for most mods on the starting grid.

More memory will help you A LOT, yes its pricey but its usually worth it.
You should also get a new video card because, well I've never even heard of the one you mentioned. If you have an AGP 3.0 slot then I would definetly go for the 6800GS which is probably the best AGP card out there.

If your motherboard ahs a PCI 16x slot then you should definetly get a PCI 16x vidoe card such as the 7800. My friend has one and the card is FAST.

Hope this helps :)

Why oh why oh why do people say that?

The game is MORE dependent on CPU, but not by much, split it around 60/40 and that's about right, not 90/10 or similar as some seem to think

I'm running AMD AthlonXP (2.0GHz) 1GB RAM DDR, Radeon 9600XT AGP and PO is +- 40/55, I think it's good.

Everything depends by the computer configuration or better as the user configures it...

well, i went with a ati x700 pro (pcie) and got a po decrease of about 60 -70 percent. its actually a pretty good card, it is better than any of the old 9xxx cards, but not top of the line and fairly nicley priced.

The Flanker is gone. :(

Well , how many FPS you set in game?
I set to 40 , and no mirrors , with bump map off and reflections lights off , static reflection map , and others max. AF on , AA off , 1280x1024x32.
