Nope, i posted constructive comments and got flamed back. Whilst the shape is not realistic, the idea of the livery is to be as realistic as possible. I posted comments on where it can improved and got flamed.

It is better than nothing, but then again, if he updated it so the colours and logos were correct it would be even better wouldnt it?

Im trying to help him make it as realistic as possible. If he doesnt want comments on his car he *really* shouldnt be posting it on a public forum

He also asked for the errors to be pointed out ;-) So i did.

Why don't you just make a new template then and problem solved? or just add that part to the existing template (if there is room).

Sniper, how did you manage to get that Sauber Petronas on sidepods? I'm sure I took it off from the alphas. Infact, I checked it and it isn't there.

@ Daniel Knott

Thanks I will try it out :)

@ bojan_tarticchio

Ya I agree I think all cars should come out this way, at least we have the right livery and these days the shape isn't too drastic from team to team from season to season until a new version shape and livery can be done. Do you still have plans to do the BMW livery on the new shape, I think Spoony was interested previously.

Hey Guys!!

Want to show you something :)

Yesterday, I finally learned how to map thnx to the car making tutorial by vicinte :)

Just a simple scene, that is mapped:

What's your opinion about it??

It's my first mapped thingy, so don't expect it is perfect ;)

And uhh.... maybe more things will follow!

I hope I could do more for you guys, and I'm quite sure I'll do it in the future!

well, the biggest downside is that i'm not telling you how to do it :p
actually i'm not so sure. i havent had the time to test it so it may be ok.
but its possible (with help ;-)) to have many file formats, not just tga.
but many lose the alpha, and others dont compress well.
and the loss of a tex is quite minimal.
using one of the formats that would work, but dont compress well would probably add 1-200mb to the 2005 mod download.
so its not worth it really.

that model has some broken polys around th enose by the look of it. maybe it happened during rendering?
