"Installed the updates through CSM (install new
> carset) rather than just clicking on the updates" I get as far as this.. but it doesn't matter how I open them, it installs them, then I get a "has encountered a problem and needs to close" box, whereupon it just loses whatever it just installed, so I can't install the updates.
I first got a grid of 2001 cars like you said with the wheels off the bases, but there was no track graphics so it looked like they were flying. Lukily Interlagos wasn't too hard to navigate so I finished 4th...
