I just experimented a bit with textures - just tests. I think I will create my own grass and gravel textures for the hi-res update.

Here a pic of my quick made texture. It's not representative for Istanbul, it was just for fun. But I think the quality is quite good.

Well, see ya next week:) Now it's time for a 6-day-holiday:)

And of course Merry Christmas to all of you!

I'm back and work can go on:)

Here a pic showing the new kerbs (here after turn 1) with the high edges at the outside:

As already said, don't pay attention to the textures, they are old.

just a note on my textures... on the release, the transparency doesnt work (looks better with them on) but when i changed them to dx5, the game crashes on exit... but they seem to have worked fine in Jax's update. Anyways one day i'll get around to updating the buildings...

@fongu:
If you know how to correct this I can send you the track before release and you can make some changes to the textures.

@Ruboy - will you be making any changes to suit TSM?

What exactly? Renaming the files?

well, i'm not sure - its still a bit experimental :p
but yeah naming the main textures in some easy to read way. 'ruboy_marlboro_1.tex' or something.
or keep a list of files that would most likely need changing - i could try a DTM add on for it once its out (and if Zaz implements this feature to TSM)

Ok, sounds good. Anyway, I sureley will need still at least 3 weeks to get it finished. But any help is appreciated.

When overseeing this project, I think it would be better to release it as a complete .wad file. I'll have to ask Schaller about that.

Ok, I think it's time to show which big changes I am doing right now.
The first 50% was pure work on the .dat, that means verges, banks, kerbs, smoothing some bumps and fixing the pitlane.

Now I am editing the banks and verges which takes a lot of time.
Below, pics showing Turn 1 and 2. The textures are new, but they still have to be improved.

Cheers and a Happy New Year to all of you:)

Ruboy. these changes look fantastic. Once you have released. We'll call yourt version 1.1 and use it as the new baseline. I was hoping to implement eaxtly what you have done, now I dnt have to :) Looks really nice. Good Job.

@SchueyFan
You have to use GP4Tweaker and check RT Edit for Onboard Camera Position and Onboard Camera Projection (19 and 20). The description of how it works is given in the Tweak List (txt. file).
