Hi-res update:

Progress: 15 - 20 %

For now I have no screenshots. This update will take more time than expected - but it will be worth the wait - I've got some nice ideas and surprises:)

Hi there..

Hey Ruboy, take your time...

The more you work on gp4 tracks, the best it takes!!!

Cheers!

have a look on www.dtm.de
they have lots of phots from the dtm (surprise!) races. not too hi res but might give an idea.
and you may even decide to scrap the f1 version and do a dtm one ;-) i'm sure no one would mind :D

I have been studying pics and videos of the F1 race for about 3 or 4 days:) so I have a lot of material.
Btw, what are the differences between the DTM and F1 track? Only adverts?

no idea, i havent seen much of the dtm race, and didnt follow the f1 one too closely, but i guess its just different adverts.
probably very easy to make a dtm add on if someone wanted to ;-)

Yes, that's no problem - but at first I will concentrate on the F1 version.

That's quite simple to change - but I doubt that it is me who will do that.
Anyway, at first I have to get this one finished - that's enough work - you guys don't know how much:)

yeah, it'll be simple replacing a few ads - especially if we can use your update as a base :)
so no pressure on you to do it - i might in a few months if no one else has, but no plans for it right now :)

Hurry up so you can get back to China! Your China update looks good but I'm anxious to see you update it and correct a minor bug or two....

Not quite right;-), at the moment I am not making shadows - that's still far away for now. I will try to do it later, but maybe I should pass it to you if I am not satisfied with the result:)
This project is a great oppotunity to improve my skills on track editing because I am changing so much things atm - this will also definitely have a positive effect on the Shanghai project (which I am not beginning before new year - so please be patient).

Anyway, I have decided to announce a (probably) nice change for the Istanbul track:
The famous four-left-hander Turn 8 has track banking (compression) now:) and some kerbs also have the high edge at the outside.

Hi-res update:

Progress: 50 %

Good news guys:) I have fixed both the graphical and physical part of the pitlane entrance and exit. It is displayed correctly now and especially the entrance is much smoother now:) I also added JipMapping at the exit.

Here two screenies. Please don't care about the textures and the rest of the graphical bugs - they are old and are going to be changed.

Pit exit:

I am going on holiday for one week on friday evening, so the project will be paused for some days - but when I come back I'll be busy again:)

Thanks guys. Anyway, I still have 2 days, that means work can go on:)

@jpmfw or any other screenshotmaker:

How do I get rid of the shadows when moving the camera position? I am using GPTweaker and I have enabled RealTime position and projection (someone told me to activate both) but the cars still get dark when heightening the position of the cam.
And somehow the the Key Q does not work (-> reseting) although it is set:(

if you mean you're moving the onboard cams, and at big distance the car looks bad then adjust the clipping.
in camera view angle i think, and the h and k keys.

@schaller - i finally found a simple way to install the track, and i've got to say its a briliant job - very professional.
but boy does it take a while to learn a new track :p
