You can make an exe file or csm file!
and make only one performance file becuse it easier to edit performances then!

I think its a bit steep to ask someone to do all that!

It would be a nice project to try, perhaps if the carpainters out there would be willing to paint a fantasy livery on one of this year's shapes (painting a full Johnnie Walker Mclaren could be a laugh!).

Up to 17 tracks shouldn't be a problem, though if the "mod" included all the tracks it would be a rather large download! Past 17 tracks is possible i'm told, but I think Tony is trying to make it work properly before he tells us all how to do it.

The only problem is I suspect it would take until 2006 to finish!

Just good cars (no1 on Renault for example) and good helmets (massa with Ferrari,...) would be fantastic.

i wish you good luck making it cause i don't see a point making a 2006 one when 2005 isn't finish yet!

maybe i'll add a minro 2006 option to the next 2005 update. no promises tho

I can make myself the bad version! It will be beta and it contains 2006 fic cars,
2006 helmets, Performance. I will make it an update to 2005 mod! I wont upload it anywhere so i send it to everyone who want's it

Tony is making a final version for the 2005 mod, if you are going to make an update probabely with bugs we will have 415346546 questions about it when we don't even know what you have done/made !!!

Just make a new one fictional 2006, you can take the 2005 as a base but please not as update !!!

guys isnt it too early for a 2006 mod... goosh we still have 2 race left for this season.

I do one for me (without using CSM and GPxPatch).

1) tracks follow as 2005.
2) pilots and teams follow as 2006 (BMW, Honda, Renault and Red Bull (Midland?...)).

everything tested and 100% OK, without bugs what it is very important.

Ok! I won't make it and i'm waiting for the new update to 2005 mod. and if i make it i will make it only for my self!

Now, as i read this thread made by me two years ago, i feel a bit silly lol. I dont know what i was thinking when i asked someone to make a mod with my "rules". Luckily it's nice peaple in all gp4 forums so no one really didn't make a fool of me .

Now i think ill have to format my computer, becouse it has got really slow. I play original GP4 with no trackside objects on and low graphics (expect cars) and still it's lagging a bit. (Processor occupacy in starts: 100-150%). BTW Anyone know why my processor occupacy keeps rising all the time i play. For example: When i start free practise its around 10-15% (good yet), but after 10 minutes of playing it has raised to 80-120%.

My comp:
Intel pentium 4: 3.2ghz
radeon x850gt (Not sure, something like that it was i think): 254mb memory
Memory: 1gb
Well, thats the main information. If possible please help.

Maybe there are other ways to improve the speed of your PC:
- Defrag your harddisk
- Download. install and run CCleaner
- Use a programe like Spybot and Ad-Aware to delete spyware

If you do this three things, your PC will be a lot faster I think .

Oh yes, may I ask which software you installed, because software like Norton slow your PC a lot.

I use F-secure and i'v seen that it slows the computer down a bit so i usually turn network connection and f-secure off when i play.
Thanks for the tips, but i'v already tried defrag and i use spybot about once a week to "clean" the computer. I should try that CCleaner thing, but it is a same kinda program like Easy Cleaner? I'v used the easy cleaner to delete useless files and sum bad registery stuff. Meaby the reason for my computer being slow is that it has been used almost for 2 years (of course thats not much, but for 15 year old admin with 13 year old brother, who doesn't know that much about comps, using the computer it's not hard to quess what happens :p). But thanks anyway

I don't know anything about EasyCleaner, but the things you mentioned sounds pretty similar to CCLeaner. At least you can try CCleaner because it helps a lot I think.

Is it your whole PC that is going slow, or is it only GP4. If it is only GP4, maybe you can uninstall it and then re-install it? A couple of months ago I had the same problem and I did a re-install and it was solved. Another thing you can do is set the framerate the game a bit down. You can do this at Optien -> Graphics - Advanced.

Maybe it's also interesting to know what other things you run at the background when you plays GP4. I have no idea how it is called in other languages, but in the Dutch version of Windows it is called: 'Taakbeheer'

Man, I had a problem similar. Was the "Enable 3D sound" of GPxPatch. I have a PC strong enough to run GP4 without problems, but my soundcard isn't "all that thing!"

Another problem is some Antivirus software that are with some scheduled task. After a time you started the PC that turns on and destroy your GP4.

Other thing, looks if you HD starts to spin, apparently without any reason. This happens if it is almost full.

Try to run your GP4 without any MOD (if is possible). Try to lower the number of teams draw in pits. When starts the pit stops window, the crew is processed if you pass in the main straight. This slows a bit your race.

Finally, try to gather the more information you can. I work with computers maintenance, an this is the main point. This is the only way to insulate the problem and attack it.
