extracting the files from brno wad and puttin gthem into barcelona wad shouldn't be necesary though - for one the brno wad is 10mb smaller ;-)
try to just rename the brno wad to barcelona2001.wad and see if it works.

what laptimes can you do, and have you noticed the bump in the pitlane entrance?

Yesterday I first renamed brno to barcelona wad but it didn't work at all. CTD at half on loading.

My laptimes are about 1.47/1.48.00 but I already play on my not expensive mobile PC : the card graphic is bad and above all I play on my keyboard. With my
usual PC my laptimes should be 1 second less I think.

I didn't notice a bump at the pit entrance but I can check it. All I can tell you is I don't stop to drive on Brno since yesterday LOL. it's my actual drug. :)

Yes, Tony, there's a bump at the pit entrance if I drive too much on the right.

My best lap is 1m35, I started from position 22 and had to overtake cc cars, so I think ideal laptime will be about 1m34,5s maybe better.. btw. I'm from Czech Republic, so thank you Tony very much :-)

Tony, the main bug is the bump at the pit entrance (I didn't notice first). I didn't see other bugs. The elevations are nice, don't change them. Very awesome track, indeed ! ;-)

well i've only had one little go at it. I remember the track from gtr, which is based on gps data, and it compares very well i think, elevations look good too. Think the odd lines round corners let it down a bit, but otherwise a pretty good track here :)

the paint, or the racing line? if its the latter is it yours or the cc? if its the cc then the cc line is pretty basic now, and i'll either let someone else do the final one, or learn a bit more about it.

ok,well the cc line will get better.
i've noticed cars disappearing too - just for a second - but no idea why. but its not just in the distance, but always at the same spot. like theres a wee patch of invisibilty :\
havent looked into it yet but it seems to be in a few of my tracks.

?

How do you mean? Do they just disappear at random spots?

Sounds like Brno has a black hole ;)

Could be a heat haze problem (if you have it on?) but other than that, I haven't encountered that one before

Is it when pit lane rejoins track?

The new Uqbar by Gildoorf has the same problem. Just shortly after s/f-line where the pitlane rejoins the track the cars also disappear for one second.
But I don't know why:(

Well, in my opinion that flickering happens at Uqbar due to pitverge.bin, which is from original sepang and I found no way to delete it... As I said before, Uqbar uses Shangai's pitlane, and sepang's pitlane doesn't match at the same position...

Maybe I'm wrong... You tell me so...

Cheers, and keep your jobs up!!! Have a nice week

maybe it is related to the pits.
i dont remember where it happens but maybe just before the final turn, which is about where the old pitlane was.
i'll check other tracks too, as i think it happened at one more atleast.

is the pitverge.bin editable?

Yes it is, but it'll take a while to make it. You just use the vertex positions from your pitlane banks (I'd advise deleting the actual pit verge and just using the bank) and editing a pitverge.bin. I'd say the best thing to do was to make a pitlane.bin (use an older version, say 16 for this) and then edit all the vertex values to match your banks and it should work. You may need to edit uv mapping co-ords, but I haven't actually put one I made in game yet :)

Helsinki 1997 : a very tight street curcuit specifically for the ITC mod it was also used for F3000 and GT and was used from 1995 to 1997.

Norisring : another street circuit - not so tight, but pretty fast. Made for the DTM mod.

Homestead Miami Road Course : the infield circuit that will be used in IRL this year (i think). Made as a request for a real life driver to use to lern the curcuit :)

(the pitlane had troubles so i've just done a quick one for ow - thanks Lo2k for all the help on this one ;-))

All available on grandprixX.com.

Please give feedback as I'm generally happy with these track layouts, elevations, fence placements etc so if you think they're wrong tell me now, so I can make them as accurate as possible when work continues on them :)
