How Easy To Paint The Cars?

For a beginner, there are loads of layered templates available (with the shadings and bodywork lines on different layers, so you paint underneith them). You will need a layered image editing program such as photoshop or paint shop pro, and zmodeler, so you can preview your cars.

you open the TGa's not the zmodelere file.

Donwload winrar to open rar files....google it to find hte dl site... then follow the steps below wen ur ready to view ur texture in zmodeler

save the template as a seperate tga or bmp.
open up zmodeler and load up the shape.
then press the key e to open up the material editor.
click the drop down menu at the top of the new window, will prob have <default material> written in it.
From this list choose a tga to load, e.g. 'shape one.'
where it says primary texture, click load map...
in the new window click add...
then browse to the tga template corresponding to the section u want to load, and click open. click ok and then apply changes, and ok again....
remember to keep the layered templat and saved tga as 2 seperate files, as once u save a tga, u lose all layers...use the 'save as' function in ur graphics programme.....i hope this helps...dont forget the search button and there are plenty of zmodeler tutorials on the web, just google it....

hmm strange....what shape are you trying to use?? I know its a dumb question but the shape is mapped is it???

well where did you get the shape? Is it out of the game, from an author, where? If you made the shape yourself from scrath then it won't be mapped. A great place to start is www.racing-leagues.com/gpxcarpainting
This is where some of the greatest GP series painters hang out....and they have a lot of re-mapped shapes, as well as templates to mess around with....
If your followed the steps i gave above i see no reason why they dont show up...theres not much more i can say really....like i said try looking for a zmodeler tutorial through google, or ask at hte gpxcarpaitning forum
