my first renders were from Blender, that free rendering program.. DonĀ“t have them anymore though :(

But I'm sure they are in this thread, like in page 10-20 or something

yea, I know, but as it was 11 pm I had not much time to finetune. But I added a darkblue reflection just like the real rims, but the speculars of the surrounding lights are making it white. If I disabled the speculars they would be black.. aah well, we learn from our mistakes :)

I forgot to say indeed the shadows are not that great. But it is the Default Scanline Renderer, not Brazil or VRay plugin and I still don't know which sort of shadow and settings I have to use.

So, you are right.. But on the other hand, it's something else then the default Brazil Skylight or Vray Light.. It just has something new, and that's what I like about it :)
