They're quite good, only the reflections on the MP4-21 are too bright. The rest is good!

I use 3dsMax 7, some use 8.. and others use older versions, but I don't think there is very much difference between the versions.. for example 7 and 8

Regarding damage model, you should be able to fix it in max using the Weld modifier. I haven't tried it yet, but since the verts and faces sit behind each other, they should weld down to the outside faces. I'd scale the car up a bit first though, so you aren't working with tiny numbers in the weld params
