:) It seems everything goes a bit off topic ;)

@Mini Maestro: Really ? Well, it's a good surprise then. I did many changes here and then but I never hoped to solve this openGL/ATI bug this way...

since 14.5 (or whatever it was) 3d editor never fully loads to the end, the last part of the third scene, but i can use 3deditor as normal tho

@Fongu:

Weird. I have the same problem (3DE stuck when loading the last part) but only from time to time. It seems to be completely random on my 'puter.

As I told in the track editing thread, it could be somewhat "normal":
progress bar and some part of the gui are sometimes becoming white, as it if was freezed but only refresh is freezed and importation continue in the back. Once importation is done, progress bar window should disappear (And it never stayed open for me...).

I would love if it could be refreshed normally but it seems 100% CPU activity bring all the ressource for loading and stop the refresh of the windows.

You still have bugs I can't have...I can open every track .dat I have, originals and new/edited...Is anyone else having this trouble ?

Speaking of bugs...

I've found one but I'm not sure whether it's an actual bug.

When I'm working on my dat, I'm always using the GP4+Dat display.
When I click on "create bin file", 3DE proposes the name "melborne2001_track.bin" instead of the name of the track I'm working on (Monza). This doesn't happen when I'm working in dat mode only.

Bug or no bug ? ;-)

OK so 14.8 version is online once again.
Not much to see in that version but one interesting feature : fences builder.
So you can create any fence, wall, rails, wall and so on all around the track.
This version also answer to the upper bug with .bin names and to track length info.

Here is the log:
v14.8 (july 17th 2005)
New: Fences Builder
New: Track details infos
Fixed: .bin files were saved as melbourne2001 when both .dat and .gp4 files were opened
Fixed: bad behaviour when using Move+rotate mode at vertex level with .gp4 files

and the screenshot:

And I also think that now I wrote the code for fences, I will be able to directly convert .dat to .gp4 objects without ZM needs anymore :)

nice!

I like track length info, according to the Hungaroring official site, the track is 4381,08 meters, and 3DEditor says mine (center length) 4385.773 meters... not so bad :)

Yep, Mini Maestro, can you give us your laptop references and your graphical card ones too, there are surely other drivers you could use...
