they look brilliant! what program did you use to render the jag
nice work but it can be improved :) according to justinz you have a wacky imagination ;) so coming up with render scenes should be easy :)

thanks all :) much appreciated.

im going to read into how to add proper lighting and stuff this was just imported to a modelling programme i use for architecture at uni - im making some buildings for some projects and personal learning.

maybe they could be incorporated into a circuit sometime soon... might have to venture to the dark side that is F1C! lol

as they stand theyre just imported and rendered - no special settings just basic stuff so with reflections and lights they hopefully will look super! :)

does anyone here know the general basics to lighting and car texture reflection, ie what you need to have and positions before i spend hours looking for an easy to understand tutorial for n00bs? thanks in advance

once i learn ill be able to do some nice stuff far better than this poop :)

I'm learning max myself at the moment and therefore some tips you might look for. Try skylights, the basics shadows you get improve your scene very much. Play with materials, add a noisy bumpmap to the floor for example. The car textures should get reflection(raytrace) about 20-30 %. You can try and use the cars alpha channel as a bumpmap as well, to give the texture some depth.
It's all about trying thinks out.
I tried for 2 weeks, making nearly a hundred rendering attempts to get the renders on www.racecarf1.com
and I'm still a newb in this ...

keep on it :)
