Discovery Racing - NEW SHAPE at P5 (10%)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello guys, finally I've (almost) finished in my ultimate goal: Create a complete, fictional Racing team to use as 11th team.

This pack will conclude:
------------------------
- a 2048 x 2048 hi-res Formula 1 car (and a normal res car if requested)
- a hi-res pitcrew
- a hi-res engine driver (= the guy who appears in free practises, qualify,...)
- a hi-res pitbox
- a hi-res pitwall
- new team-art pictures
- a new steering wheel
- 2 very hi-res helmets (and normal res helmets if some people request)

About the team:
---------------
Discovery Racing is a Finnish F1 team. The manager will be Jyrki Jarvilehto. This is a formal F1 driver. He drove until 1994 and reached the podium 1 time.

The drivers have to be from Finland as well. I was thinking about Heikki Kovalainen and then as 2nd driver I need your personal opinions. Mika Hakinnen, Mika Salo,...??

Other:
------

Marco Vanderveld is making some renders, he promised me at least. I want to thank several guys for their help:

-Lo2K for helping me figuring things out about the pitboxes
-Yohan for his RedBull shape and template
-MDBsnake for his help with the alpha layers
...

and all who like this project :-)

The car will be shown as soon as I finished the driver helmets. But for those who remember the 1st discovery car, it's 90% the same.
It's on the Red Bull car so now it has the 2005 regulations.

Tnx, Stijn Vansteenbrugge

1 file or 3-4 files is a difference

1 file has a bigger PO then 3-4 tex files

I run at 1024*768 heat haze and bumpmapping off at 30 fps PO never goes higher then 100 %

I'm running with a PO between 89 and 110

What about the 2nd driver guys? Hakinnen, Salo, Scott Speed,...?

And you haven't seen the car yet :-)

Haha, no Kovalainen is the 1st driver! :-)

So we can make a poll:

1) Mika Salo: 0 votes
2) Mika Hakinnen: 2 votes
3) Scott Speed: 0 votes
4) someone else: 0 votes

"well the two mikas have blueish helmets that would go with the colour scheme"

So has Heikki Kovalainen, I don't actually know a single Finnish F-car driver that doesn't have a blueish helmet.
