Problems

Haven't played GP4 in a while. So I got all the 2004 updates. Launched GPxPatch 3.83, it doesen't load, before the start screen has displayed, the game has crashed, I get a log. However, when I run the game without GPxPatch it seems to work fine. I don't want to not run it through GPxPatch as I'll lose the official timing graphics, etc. Here is the log: (I don't know if this means anything to anyone)

The only person able to read GPxPatch's report is SDI, so just go post your report on his site

GPGSL WDC Season 4

While I have a problem thread open, I have another trouble. Loading screens have never appeared, even when I do a fresh installation. They flicker for a quarter of a second, and the screen goes black apart from the loading bar at the bottom. Any ideas about that?

Yet another problem, I launch Championship mode and the game crashes.

For blinking loading screen, be sure to turn off anti-aliasing and anisotropic-filtering (you have got a radeon, I'm right ?).

For championship, if you are running a fresh GP4 install, be sure to select CPU0 in GPxPatch main tab.

Laurent, I set anti-aliasing and anisotropic-filtering to 'Application Preference' it made the loading screens appear. But the graphics are now very poor quality. How can I restore the quality and have the loading maps remain?

personally id balls the loading screen and stik with good gfx's

Simply increase resolution in GP4 options to 1024*768 or above if your monitor support it.

My resolution is already 1024*768, I select the in-game option as 1600*1200, which is supported by my monitor, but it just resets to 640*480.

Well another problem from me for this thread. I run gp4 with any version of gpxpatch and the 'z' key doesnt work, so i cant brake in game. If I run gp4 normally, it works but i wanna use gpxpatch? Does anyone know about fixing that problem?? thanks in advance

Wirah you can put anti-aliasing and anisotropic-filtering back and disable progress bar from gpxpatch (it's under the gpxset ) now you will hopefully see loading screens but only minus are that you dont't see th progress bar.
