looks good :)
just a few things:

the cockpit textures are in the shared folder. it's better to place them in the folders of the cars themselves
because of compatibility when someone wants to add their own cars.

the cockpit dir should never be used for the default steeringwheel, although the next update has a fix for that. now when you don't select the generic wheel you'll get a messed up original one. just place them in your base wad file instead.

the swaps of the uni and pos files are obsolete :) you can place them in the the steering wheel dir which needs it

to make it a little bit easier for you i've made a simple batch file which takes care of it

[files.vadertrophy.com]

download it, extract the files into the folder of the mod, and then run 'runme.bat'
that should work i think.

if you have any questions, feel free to ask. it could be that you have already tried to email me, but my mail has some serious problems, so most of the mails never arrive.
you can also send emails to carsetmanager AT gmail.com

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy

thanks for a kind words, it really inspires us to continue our work!

seems that main concern about this mod is performance. yes, we know that saubers are too fast. they wasn't anywhere like this in 1994, especially in the end of season. performance and physics for the mod was made by JonVic, but seems that now he's out of gp4 modding (correct me if i'm wrong), i tried several times to contact him about this bug in performance - no success. so it'll be very welcome if anyone has a skills to edit performance and physics: we will need even race-specific performance files.

again thanks for your feedback, don't hesitate to contact us! :-)

@ZaZ:
thanks a lot for your help, i'll check your recommendations out. that's why this is only beta version! :-)

the williams definitely has got body lines, they just aren't as intense as some other cars. Personally I think that a lot of painters overdo it. if you look at pics of the real cars you won't see them unless its a very close shot. I might make them a little stronger but not much

I have a problem that when driving Sennas car the cockpit view is dark like on the 1988 mod and i have a Ferrari visor which i can't get rid of, anyone know how to get rid of it? Otherwise a good mod that needs a few fixes, when those are done it should be great! Well done!

there's no visors in beta release. so you have to deal with original ones...

about darker view from cockpit - can you post a screen?

To be honest i don't know how! I'm going to do a complete re-instalation of GP4 with just the 1994 mod to see if this cures it.

This is excellent work, the only small problem I have is with the names. When I select a driver from the menu I have the 1994 names (Senna, Hill, etc), then when I get in to the race I have the 2004 names (Bruni, Montoya, etc).
This is strange as I'm using a 2005 performance file for my non-csm GP4 and I don't have any modern carsets which are run through CSM. Any ideas? Apart from this the mod is great.

@ celinho

yes the wheel is from f1archives(berger fan):-)

@mckey415

the only thing which i like not so much is the steering wheel from cockpit view!!
what about to making the onboard wheel from my pics above(1994 External Williams FW16 wheel from berger fan)for the COCKPIT wheel?

well, with csm we can easily change steering wheels, so i think we can talk to berger fan about if he can give us a permission to include his work into final release...

The only thing I would say is:

1) Performance (mckey415, check your pm's if you havent)
2) Doesn't affect me, but for people using the lower quality textures, are you able to edit the Marlboro logo on the Ferrari, as it looks a bit naff compared to the other cars?

Otherwise, it is absolutely fantastic! Great work guys!
