gp4.gamer.nl 2004 carset [Release is imminent >p7]

interesting and superb looking carset.
is it possible to release a simple cars.wad too? that would be nice for my personel tweaking, because i like the original physics and some other stuff. so the possibilty to tweak gp4 by my self, with your cars would be great.
btw _Erix: which steeringwheel do you prefer for your set?

(was surprised by your age, thougt iam the only gp4-driver who´s so "old"...

The set will feature a complete track specific set as well as a lite version with just a standard and a nt wad. The cars.wad is compiled by CSM but easy to build yourself, since all cars are in separate folders.

We still use the default cockpit steering wheel but if you have any suggestions

We're using Nicola's performance files so that would mean we have the distinctive Matt Schroeder and the illustrious Nick Hutcherry behind the wheels 8)

Just a bit of news: Matt has made the lower lods for the Renault and that car is almost done. Just need to finish the NT versions. The Jordan will come in may flavours, Duco and me have been painting gp specific liveries and we have the early season covered up till France I think.

The season set will be released as CSM. I'm compiling three sets. One is a lite hi-res version, it contains cars in standard and nt versions. Same version will be released with 512 textures. The third set is a CSM update with all the track-spec stuff. It will update the hi-res lite version to the ultimate 2004 season set. With all Nic's Ferrari's, all helmets (incl Genè, Pizzo and Villy), Minardi liveries etc.

Compilation of the set is almost done but we're still working on helmet textures, rims/tyres and some cars. I really have no idea what the release date will be. I only hope we're done before the 2005 season kicks in!

cool, can't wait. so much goodness in a year. i already updated my 2004 megapatch to use all ctdp cars and this will be a fine alternative. we probably won't see another year with so many great cars released ever for gp4. not that i would object.
