I would love to test the Leyton House if you still need test drivers. I am a wheel user - Original Momo Force.

Thank you,

FraPP!!!

Nick, my e-mail now is changed to the MSN one, but none can handle a car yet :p.
just tell me on MSN, or PM... then I'll give you the one where I can get some file space :).

Ah, and by the way, I can test with wheel too ;-)

I can test with keyboard! Please?! Sounds nice to drive with your 1991 Mod Physics! I love small sliding around track! And any car would be nice (but maby maby benetton...).

I have played whole year with keyboard because I cant get my Thrustmaster Ferrari FF racing wheel work with win XP! (works few minutes and then it doesnt work before shutdown and start again. Win xp does something bad things... same with all games!)

Ile_fin, I've read many complaints about that wheel in this forum :). Might be a good idea to exchange it back ;-).

And about the physics, interesting read so far Nick, I haven't driven, but sure seems interesting with these numbers :D.
I'll report later today, it's 2:37 am now ;)

Ok, did a quick shakedown, and lapped 1:29 around Melbourne :|
Everything seems to be going nicely, I only altered my wings a bit, some suspension, and gear ratios, but still am far from ideal gears :P.

on first sector, I go about .25s slower than car #1
second, I struggle somewhere, end up 1.25s
third, it's been tough to do a clean, fast lap, so I drop down a lot and finish the lap at 1:29, 2s out ;)

later on, when my tummy isn't complaining that I don't feed him, I'll run more :)

So far using keys ive got a 1.33 lol!

The ratios are far from perfect as sed above.

But the physics seem quite good :) im impressed and cant wait for the Leyton House :P.

Nice stuff. Im going off now to do more :):)

no mucho, pero es culpa de montoya, realmente no quería que gane :p

me neither :P. But well, Rubinho stayed 2 laps too long, and Massa 3... too excited with the lead. Oh well, we are setup for next year!

Ah, Nick, I will run Interlagos and Silverstone, but I haven't even run there with normal physics ;)

I also want to see if they produce fairly accurate laptimes so the feedback I'll be requiring will be limited to a few (well, seven) tracks - Interlagos, Monte Carlo, Magny Cours, Hockenheim, Hungaroring, Spa and Suzuka.

dont see silverstone on there :P

the bust stop is slightly different at spa, the casio triangle has been changed at suzuka magney course doesnt have the chicane after the hairpin, and silverstone is totally different in several corners ;)

1:18 in Interlagos, with the McLaren :|

struggling a bit, it slides like hell! Top speed around 284 km/h, high wing level, and actually high roll-bar, so I don't understand why it just loses so much grip :-o.

I'm usually off by about .24s on first sector, ok on the second, but the last one is incredibly tough to get right, it is hard to brake and go to the limit. I tried on the Laranjinha, and only a handful of times I brought the car back in control (keyboard is hard to fix slides :p), still getting to grips with it, and also getting to grips with setup, but maybe a bit more grip won't hurt ;)
send me your hotlop gui :P

you must suck or something, I just went an did a 1:18.1 at interlagos on my first lap with default (out of the box) gp4 setup, so I only had 4 gears ;) also, if anything the car felt really understeery, which is what they tend to do with the default setups... so you've probably made a hash of setting the car up ;-)

and ? :P

and therefore you cant compare laptimes of 1991 to laptimes on the GP4 tracks

yes, I do realise that andy... hence the ":P" in my lost post *sigh*

but those tracks are "more comparable" than most of the others, so if laptimes are within about 1-1.5 seconds with the physics I know I'm doing something right... final laptimes can be tweaked through the perf files.

Problem is, my best lap was also the first one ;). About the gears, only get it working nicely with 5, if you put 6th on, you lose a ton of speed :p. I will run again, and save the hotlap :).

you can run well with 7 gears too, you just have to make the ratios short - and get them right ;)
