Caelen, Is there a part 2 to come? Looks bloody great apart from the green(no texture) pitlane....not sure which version of Ricardos Monaco track I have. Have to do a bit of investigating...

Well, installed ver.99 and updated again with your hires version. Still have the reflective green pitlane colour, all other textures are beautiful...any suggestions?

Ah! that second part did the trick. Sans helicopter and a palace Prince Rainier would be proud to live in! Not to mention the other eye candy. Outstanding!!
I had to replace the two files: monaco2001_pitlane.bin and monaco2001_pitverge.bin with the standard ones so now I have ordinary grey track texture pitlanes but thats OK it doesn't detract from the rest of visuals.


It's 1am here in Sydney, I'm off to do a lap or 50 before bed...

I mean the tarmac which all the same even I open or close the "bump mapping"

There isn't a bump-mapping file in the .rar files.... there's a tarmacmap.tex but no tarmacbumpmap.tga.

Maybe Caelen forgot to include it...?

well i like his tarmac better caelen is to hirez make it look all like grind or gravel road but everything els i must say say awesome work caelen.

Great work caelen, it looks like a tourist information about monte carlo! Unfortunately it kills my pc. My PO rises up to 235% at the start of monaco, during the race it´s constantly at 150%! Sorry, i would like to use it, but i have to remove your great update, cause its nearly unplayable for me.

That's sad jwt, but looking at your PC specs it shouldn't be that bad. What type of RAM do you have? DDR or SDR? And what speed is it? Sorry to probe but you have a pretty decent rig there.

@jwt : I have the same problem, i just delete f1gragics.bak and both f1state, my PO is about 150 at the start of the race and about 100 during the race.... I believe there is another trick to drop that PO a bit more.

Hi Guys,

I have a very similar spec to you 2 guys. I had about the same PO as you untill I disabled dynamic environment map and choose static. As per this thread by L02k

I get about 50-60 in a race at Monoco.
