all cars and anim wads should be in the same main GP4 folder, just like your default cars.wad and anim.wad.

so in my GP4 folder, i have:

cars.wad
cars_silverstone2001.wad
cars_magnycours2001.wad
cars_indianapolis2001.wad

all wads should be compressed, and decompressed so you can see the folder where you can install the news cars.

yeah, because the original 'cars.wad' will be used for all the other tracks, do you see?

in the original install of the game, there is only 1 cars.wad, which is used for all the tracks.

when a track is loading, it looks for a track-specific wad first, but if it doesn't find it, it loads the default 'cars.wad'.

but because i have, for example, a silverstone wad, when loading the silverstone track, it looks for, and finds the silverstone wad, so laods it.

so because there are only 3 non-tobaccco races last season (thats what my game is still setup as, GB, France and Indy) i only need 3 NT wads, plus a wad for all the other tracks. I know Canada was NT this year, so i might make another wad called 'cars_montreal2001.wad' simply by copying the 'cars_silverstone2001.wad' and rena, ing it.

i hope you understand mate.

Goto the gpxdata folder in your GP4 install directory. Open gpxtrack.ini and delete the '0' next to 'EnableTrackSpecificcarsWad=' to change it from 'EnableTrackSpecificcarsWad=0' to 'EnableTrackSpecificcarsWad=1'. Then it should work.

Thanks, it works, but the helmet doesn't!!

Where can i get a Button silverstone helmet that works with Oggo's arai shape?

All hi-res helmets should work with Oggo's helmets. Most helmets for hi-res images can take any hi-res helmets. Imagine the chaos if one helmet shape used one set of textures!! Therefore all helmet shapes for hi-res helmets should work with all hi-res helmets!
