Track Specific Cars/Anim.wad

After I enable Track Specific Cars and Anim.wad how do I use this?

right.

copy your cars.wad and rename it with the name of the track you want it to be specific to. e.g. rename the copied wad as 'silverstone2001.wad'.

now put your NT cars in the silverstone wad and they will appear when you drive at silverstone.

you could if you wanted make 17 cars wad files if you wanted, 1 for each track.

the same applies for the anim wad.

copy the anim.wad and rename as 'anim_magnycours2001.wad'

simple as that.

ive also tried this but i cant get it to work at all. ive enabled track specific wads in the gpxtrack but it just wont load the cars.do i have to insert the cars into a specific folder in the track wad,what about the default car wad,do i have to remove that too. please help me cuz id love to do a car wad for each track

rename your wad to cars_silverstone2001.wad

you need to use _ instead of .

ive just tried that but still keeps loading the default wad. does the cars wad have to be compressed or decompressed.also am i enabling track specific wads in the right place.

did you changed the cars or one car in the wads for example a nt ferrari in Cars_circuitname.wad

ive changed the liveries of a couple of cars,do i have to use the actual wad or the folder i extract it to.where do i enable track specific wads,is it in gpxtrack?

yes,mines just like that but still no car change,just keeps loading the default cars. my car wad ive put in the track wad is named cars_monaco2001.wad. i cant seem to think what im doing wrong

are u using easywad to update your cars ??

you need something like this i only have a cars.wad and only one carsnt.wad you need to specify the cars.wad for each track just like you do in gpxsat for track specific performance files. here is mine as an example

i know it is but if you want it for 2004 just make canada an nt track and thats it i believe. lemme update the post to make it 2k4

so if my wad is called cars_monaco2001.wad what do i put in gpx track. i always use gp4 master to install new cars. ive never had a problem with the game or updating new stuff but this just dont seem to work

just look at mine and for monaco which is carswad07=cars.wad instead put carswad07=cars_monaco2001.wad

whats the name of the "folder' where your monaco cars are in

you have to locate that folder when creating the Monaco.wad


i use easy wad the only thing i need to do is
locate the folder where my úpdated cars are in
compress directory to wad (right mouse button) and some times
renaming the wad

Just rename your cars.wad to cars_melborne2001.wad for melborne specific cars,cars.wad to cars_sepang2001.wad etc.Nothing needs to be added to the ini files other than enabling.

ive just done that and it works fine so thanks for that,but who said you have to put the car wad into the track wad when all you have to do is put it into the main gp4 directory? anyway works fine so thanks
