hey everyone i need your help when i want to change my screen resolution to 1280 x 1024 it always changes into 640 x 480 and i dont know why i have tried through the graphics menu and also through my f1graphics.cfg but the problem is the same and i dont know why.

if its any help my system specs is a ATi Radeon 9000,Intel Pentium 4,2.6 GHz, 512 MB RAM

If it can reassure you, I have also this bug since i changed my Geforce4 TI4200 for a GeForcs FX5900 so it should be something with hardware (un)recognition from GP4.

maybe because your monitor can´t handle it , because I the same card as you and I play with 1280 * 1024
try to install the newest drivers and directx , may help I hope

hes right.

if ure gfx card or monitor doesnt support it. or switching resolution failed, the game attempts to switch to 640*480

i havent updated any of the drivers yet as this is on my laptop and i am having difficulty getting it connnected to the net. anyway on my laptop i have directx 9.0 but the drivers arethe retail ones

you're playing it on your laptop? I'm 60% sure that your laptop screen doesn't support more than 1024x768

depends on the screen size. some laptops support higher then my 19" minitor ;-)
