in the gfx config or gfx menu.

it makes bumps look more real and it works well in gp4. u should also go download the new bump map from lo2k's site :)

Gfx config : you can find it in [your GP4 folder]\f1graphics.cfg. just open it with your favourite text editor (usually Notepad)

Gfx menu : you can find it in GP4 -> Options -> Graphics -> Advanced -> Bump mapping ;-)

@raztahz: It's because GP4 calibrates itself when you make a TEST in the advanced graphics menu. It changes many things in the f1graphics.cfg.

@Jorn: what's your graphical card, Jorn ?

Intel Pentium 4 2.6 gHz
512 MB DDR Ram
GeFroce 4 ti4200

But most of the new tracks it is recommanded to use no bump mapping and sometimes if I use bump mapping the textures of some cars go crazy :)

I had the same card and bump mapping was always on without any performance hit...
And activating bump mapping should not change anything to cars...else i would love to know how you managed to get that ;)

But in GP4 for some strange reason it changes. I had exactly same problem.

Does anyone know how to change the framerate via the graphics.cfg?

But if you control all the graphics settings fron the cfg and not in the game menus you can't change the framerate from the game menu so how can you change it.

I want to up the fps and can't do - any ideas?

You can run 'test' in gp4 graphics menu when you use the cfg file for gfx settings, it'll tell you how many fps you're getting, then you turn it down by a few :)

even if u use config=1 etc you still set the frame rate in the advanced graphics menu, this as well as the replay length are not stored in graphics config but are saved in the gamestate.sav
