Bahrain 2004 v0.9 BETA release

Hi guys

Here is the moment many of you have been waiting for.
I am delighted to announce the release of Bahrain 2004 v0.9 BETA.

Advert textures and bridges, and loading screens by Terence Yaw.

Track design work, desert textures, and cameras by Sam Edwards.

We hope you enjoy driving this circuit as much as we have making it.

Remember it is only a BETA release! Do not blame us if anything goes wrong! Please send us your suggestions so that they can be included into the final version. We already have plans for the following additions:

2004 Pit lane team garages (currently 2003 with the kind permission of Ricardo Lampert's textures).
Many grandstand improvements, including Malaysian grandstands on the main straight.
Improvements to the desert hills on the outfield sections of the tracks.

Let us know of any other bugs or ideas.

Shanghai? Wait for the formula 1 circus to go there towards the end of the season, then we will see!

For now, i must continue working on the final release of Bahrain, there are still many more changes to be made!

won't the final version be with a new track layout cause it won't be final withoutn that

No the final 1.0 version will be as close as possible that i can make. If i had to wait until 3d editor is able to change track layouts, the release might be many months away! The track layout will be done eventually, but only when 3d editor is capable of it!

how can i convert it to 2001 order guys?

I might release a 2001 order with the final release, but for now you'll just have to make do. If you really want the 2001 order team garages, then you'll just have to swap the texture files in the a1ring2001.wad file!

thats what i mean the 1.0 release is not final as im sure as track editing progress' there will be many more releases

ok, but does it go in interlagos slot or a1 slot? im still downloading it.

Like the track, i must say some corners really don't feel like the a1-ring anymore, but here are some notes.

1) there is grass on the main straight??
2) Some of the brake signs are to far off, 50 feels like 100 etc.

but a need circuit ande a good job folks

why don't in the final release you actually put sand on the side of the track so they fly off into sand
