Helmets Hi RES to Low RES problem

Well i was using the HI RES helmets but there we don't have all the HI res helmets for 2004 yet i decide to go to low res again were we have already all the helmets thanks to MRT !

so i put all the helmets in 2004 order with the original helmet shape !

But when i looked in the game, all the helmets were half black, faces painted on the top of the helmets, ...

Anybody with some help of what i did wrong tyvm

Yep i did but fongu told me it was the size of the helmet that wasn't correct so i changed it towards: tex 1: 256 x 64 and tex 2 128 x 64. The helmet is good of size but have another problem with it, it change colors when car is turning of in other camera views, will take screenshot and post it !

You see those colors in the helmets, it changes every time to more colors, less, none, ... does it on all the helmets !

Hope someone knows the problem / solution !

Well i tried that shape that was in the package but i still got the same problem.

Your advice B-tone change the shape to lower lods can you explain cause i don't know what you mean of what to do !

Is that then taking the lod helmet_00 and copy it over 01,02 and 03 ?

tbh how can u go from high to low res? thats like going from good to bad

i tried this shape and it works,use the carset creator to get them in game
good luck

why don't you stick with the Hi-Res helmets? most of them are there, we are only missing a couple of drivers. you can use heidfelds sauber helmet for the jordan slot, and put fisichella's jordan helmet in the sauber slot, it won't make much difference till we get the proper '04 helmets.

i know, going back to HI RES helmets when they are all out but LOW res they are all out and wanted to use them till HI res are out but have this problem and want to have it solved cause its not normal and thats the issue !

Going to try to copy over the helmet 00 towards 01 02 03 original shape and will see if it works, can't do much wrong trying to solve it !

Does anyone know how to install the faces and top of helemets using carset creater? when i load the face it goes in to the helmet slot?!?

You have to use the drop down menu to instal them seperately:

Okay when you are in carset creator main screen click load tga button (or if the helmet is a tex click load tex button as shown below:



Then select the helmet file you want to load and double click it and it should appear in the helmet box and show you the texture.

Then to load the face click the load tex or tga button again and click the drop down box shown in the next screenshot and do the same as you did for the helmet but select the face file and click export, job done



Hmmm....didnt come out very clear but you can see the drop down box in the second shot, the second option down actually says load face but you cant see it, whoops

Well i didn't know it either how you could get those faces in the game with Carsetcreator and just tried it and my problem is solved !
