Carset Creator 4 Does Not Export...Help!!!

My carset creator 4 don't seem to export anything into the game.
I've tried to reinstall both CC4 & GP4 and still no export,
I've also done the write protection on the folder and still nothing...
It was working last week, so can anyone please help me out and
get CC4 export back.

Flash you need to use the original decrypted CD Patch (version 1.0) for CC4 to recognise. What I do is back-up my current GP4.exe (version 1.2) and when I want to make changes to the game using CC4 I just use the original (version 1.0) GP4.exe.

Than just find the path to GP4.exe and than you should be away.

Driver Images, Grid Cars, Logos well most of the images really.

I've tried every patch going, and CSC4 will work but I can't export anything (only Import, which is no good) or CSC4 won't do anything.

I've also reinstalled GP4 and CSC4 a number of times, with the same result.

dude... have you tried reading the readme!? you can inporth them in to the game if they are bmp or whatever they have to be gpi or whatever it's called.. :|

I can import everything from the game, but I can't export anything.

I'm using TGA images, which are the right ones because of the alpha's.
When you export your own images with CSC4, it converts the TGA images into GPI.

but I can't change tga images into GPI ones without CSC4, so without the export i'm stuffed.

you have to make the gpi first then inport then it will work

in carset creator, find the relevant gpi file and load it (Menudata -> PC -> GP2001 -> Images), then load up your tga file that you want to go over the old gpi file, and save the gpi over the one you loaded originally.

Good idea Muks_C, but after doing that it is still the original GPI.

It saves as a filter GPI, but it's still the default one in the game...

Make sure that you take off the read-only attritubes of the file / folder you are trying to update. Than export will work

I've tried to disable the read-only,
but it keeps resetting itself back (to inable)

I'm not having much luck with this...
