I know. They are all the F2001 with '02 sponsors, as I said. Like they used for the first few races in 2002 before using the actual F2002.

I have nearly finish the body of the car , without cockpit seat and wheel , it's 1800 round . no wings and 50% or chassics , I think it will be 5000-7000 at last (without engine model , i don't know how much it will cost , maybe 1000 - 2000 ), not so much as I though before , however , I will add more mesh after finished all to get a highly smooth carshape in the game , so the polycount may over 10000.

Thank you for all , I have modeled two F1-2000 of TAMIYA two and three years before , so the work will bu much easier because I have two really detailed plastic model and two graphics of the car.

In the release version , there will by an gameplay version and a expriment version :)

Making Chassic is really a difficult job , I spent 5 hours on making it and now it's finished 70%
The total poly by now is around 3800 , much less than I excepted , however , engine and detailed cockpit and realstic struct of the car will cost much more.

This looks great!

@ Enzojz /

I make my car in 3d max too. but I have to lern to use Z-mod
to get the textur file on the car and in to the game.
Maybe I can ask you later how to do that

nice car! and 10.000 polys is not a problem in gp4

but i think for textures 1024x1024 is enough, higher resolutions will kill the PO and it doens't make any difference i think

That's just an expriment , I will also make 3D-wheels and realistic cockpit , I don't whether 3D-st-wheels can be intrduced into GP4 but I want to have a try .Making realistic engine is really challenge I don't know whether I can finish it.That's the first model all done by myself so I'm making it with my concept of making carshape . I have made inside of the car with real structation , too.

@Alesi_fan
Can you open UV Mapper view in ZM?That's the first step , and select faces you want to map , click reset UV and assign UV , and then click the view to want to map these faces in , you will get the map in UV Mapper , then , resize and reshape the map as you wishes.

Enzojz:

Yes you can use 3d steering wheels in GP4. Caelen's McLaren wheel converted from F1 2001 showed this to me originally and now I have tested it with a Toyota wheel from F1 Challenge and that worked too. There is plenty of possibilities in this area.
