Inserting helmets into game

I know there is probably a real simple way to do this, but for some reason, i am having trouble doing it. Can someone explain it to me, in plain simple English??!! lol!! Hope someone can!

If the helmet is tga, u need gp4master, then open the helmet.tex files and overwrite the images, downsize and save. if ur helmet files are tex, i just put them in your cars.wad

I tried using HelmetInstaller, and that was easy to use, but the helmets were distorted - the faces were on the top of the helmet, and on one side... is that may be due to a different helmet shape??!! Cant remember if i installed a new shape...
And as for GPMaster, do i need to place the tga gile into each tex file of that particular helmet? ie: all textures 0-3?? Then use the downsample textures?

I have got GP4 Master but when i try to launch, it says u need the decrypted GP4 exe, which i have, both and also GPxPatch, shall i uninstall GPxPatch or summut.
